Carol Gillespie is the Club’s new Secretary-Treasurer.
Carol, who takes the reins from the long serving and Club Life Member John Hvass, is no stranger to Shoes. While she is a non-surfer, her husband Reno Gillespie is a bona fide Shoes legend, with a more than 40 year history with the Reef and the Club.
Reno is a Life Member dating back to the 70s-80s era of the Club. He holds the Club record for the longest stretch five nose ride of 13 seconds!
Carol is a practising secretary and bookkeeper and knows the Shoes Pavilion, beach, pool and reef extremely well based on a unlimited visits over many decades.
