The August pointscore comps was held on picture perfect winter's Saturday. The competitions and camaraderie that Shoes is legendary for were a fitting tribute to the passing earlier in the week of the Mayor of Sandshoes, Frank Latta.

Thankfully the second nominated comp weekend saw small, rideable waves for all 3 grades. The SuperGroms and Juniors were held on Saturday and 8 heats of Seniors plus quarters, semis and final were held Sunday.

The weather was fantastic but the waves hadn't shown up for the party (neither had the gear).
